About Me

Hi, I’m Brian. I’m 24 years old as of February 2025, and I’ve had a passion for technology since I was young. I would always be messing with my parents old computer and would be the first to suggest upgrading to the latest and greatest, even if it was never in our budget.

My career journey initially began in a different field—one that didn’t truly interest me. However, when COVID disrupted my plans, it gave me the opportunity to reflect on what I genuinely wanted to pursue, a career in technology.

Breaking into the IT field seemed like a daunting challenge at first, but I knew it was the right path for me. I started by earning the Google IT Support Certification, followed by the CompTIA A+. Shortly after, I landed my first role as a Helpdesk Technician. This position exposed me to various aspects of networking, which inspired me to further my knowledge in that field.

I am currently working toward obtaining my CCNA certification to deepen my understanding of networking and advance my career in IT. I am always eager to learn, grow, and take on new challenges in the ever-evolving world of technology.

About my Future

I am approaching my one-year milestone in the IT field and plan to obtain my CCNA certification shortly after. Additionally, I have a strong interest in cybersecurity and intend to pursue the CompTIA Security+ certification to deepen my understanding in the field. My next goal is to secure a role in a Security Operations Center (SOC) to gain hands-on experience and prepare for the CISSP certification, which I understand is a significant step toward advancing in the cybersecurity domain.

I know this plan will most likely take a few years to realize, but a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
